The Swadlincote & District Chamber of Trade is a independent group of businesses promoting the town of Swadlincote and its surrounding district. The Swadlincote & District Chamber of Trade Aims and Objectives are:- To improve the economic outlook for Swadlincote & District for the benefit of Chamber members. To assist with the marketing of the Swadlincote area with the aim of encouraging visitors, tourists, shoppers and inward investment. To provide an influential voice that is heard on local business issues. To represent the business and commercial views of members to other bodies (i.e. the Local Authority, Shop Watch etc.). To promote talks to members on topical business related matters. To build relationships in the local business community.
Membership of the Chamber is open to any business in Swadlincote or its surrounding area. Membership of the Chamber is not transferable. Membership shall belong to the business and not to the individual owner, partner, director or manager who currently represents that business in its relationship with the Chamber. Meetings are open to members and prospective members. Guests may be invited by prior arrangement with the Committee. Meeting will be held Bi-Monthly on the agreed calendar. For businesses that employ 25 or less persons the cost is £40 per year. The membership cost for businesses with 26 or over employees is £100 per year. See website for further information.
